Magazine Sales!
Yesterday we had our Magazine Kick Off Assembly! The boys and girls were excited to see all the prizes they could win as they help our school raise money. Please be sure to check your packet (sent home at orientation). The address booklet is the first thing you will need to check out. If you fill out at least 7 addresses by MONDAY, your child will receive the first prize of a duck and a laynard. If at all possible, PLEASE send this in! 4 year olds really don't understand why everyone doesn't recieve a duck! Mrs. Barbara and I will forever be in your debt if you could make sure you send this in. :) It's easy! Thanks so much for your help!
Next Wednesday is the first turn in day for magazine sales. If every child in our school sold a few magazines we would exceed our $60,000 goal. This is the one and only fund raiser our Trojan Legion parent organization has each year. The money raised goes directly back into the classroom. Here is an easy link to the QSP Magazine Sale for more info - Magazine Sale

Blue and Gold Day!
We are fired up and excited about our school! These boys and girls are showing their school spirit and love for TSA today. Fridays are Blue and Gold day and the whole school proudly dresses in our colors. Our school Spirit Shop is located in the lobby between the gyms and has great Tattnall attire for spirit Fridays. Be sure to stop by and see Ms. Tiff and she will suit you up as a Tattnall Trojan!
The Tattnall Trojans are on the road tonight at Glenwood Academy in Phenix City , Alabama. Our first home game is next Thursday night, August 25, at 7:30. Football games are a great time for the whole Tattnall family. You can find a complete schedule at our website - http://www.tattnall.org/ Hope your family will be able to come out and enjoy watching the Trojans play!

Starfall website
I want to share a link to a great site we have been using in class this week. STARFALL We have been using the calendar segment of this site each day to practice saying the days of the week, counting, discussing months, birthdays, and special events. Your child can use this site at home to reinforce the concepts learned in school. As the year goes on, we will be looking for our letters of the week on Starfall as well as reading special stories and playing games. Just wanted to share this with you today because the children LOVE it and want to play it at home! Have fun!

1st Day of Art with Mrs. Julie
Today was our first Art class with Ms. Julie. We learned about Henri Matisse, a french artist who is known for the use of bright colors. As a young man he painted but later in his life he used scissors to create colorful pieces of art. Because he was one of the first artist to use such colors, he was known as a beast. So today we learned that, "Henri Matisse was a Beast!" and we used scissors, paper, and glue to create our own works of art!
We watched this video clip in class today! Click on the link with your child so they can watch it again - Henri Matisse Video
