Here she is! It's Ms. L and she has the longest laugh. She is laughing because learning is so much fun! She brought along a Lite Brite, Lincoln logs, Library books, Love/heart stickers, and Lunchroom trays for us to use in our centers this week! The very first thing she did when she arrived is teach us the song "Jesus Loves Me"! Ms. L told us that God is Love and that He wants us to show His love to everyone we meet. We are learning that we can show love by being kind, sharing, obeying, smiling, listening, and working hard to do our best for our Mommys and Daddys and our teachers!

Ms. J and 'jama day on Friday!
Ms. J jetted in early Monday morning with a bag full of junk that starts with the letter J. Our favorites so far are the Juicy Fruit gum and Jolly Ranchers! Don't forget that Ms. J wants us to wear our 'jamas to school on Friday. We will be cozy as we enjoy our day full of fun activities.

Bears and Basketball players!
We are ending Letter Bb Week in a big way! This morning we started off with a bang with our bears and our adopted basketball players. Taylor Brown #1 and Jordan Allen # 32 came and vistied with our boys and girls as they made spirit posters for tonight's game. We loved having the big kids come to our classroom to visit and are excited about cheering for them tonight in their big game against Stratford!

Mr. B
Mr. B is keeping us busy this week with bears, bugs, banks, beauty shop, and blocks! On Friday, every child will bring in a favorite bear to school for the day. Mr. B loves bears and is looking forward to the boys and girls show and tell time on Friday when they will share all about their bears with our class.
Also this Friday, Jan. 20th, the whole elementary school is invited to attend Elementary night at the basketball game. (Another fun Bb activity!) Each class has adopted basketball players from our varsity teams to support. Our class players are Taylor Brown #1 on boy's varsity (and also Jay's big brother) and Jordan Allen #32 on girl's varsity (Mrs. Allen's daughter). We will be making signs and posters for the game this week. We hope you and your family will be able to attend the game to cheer on all of our varsity players as they take on our region rival, Stratford, at 6:30. (B-team games begin at 4 if you want to come a little early!)
The spirit theme for this week's game is a WHITE OUT. Many students plan to wear their STATE championship football t-shirts but any white will do!
One last thing....

Ms. E has Exercise Energy!
Here is Ms. E.....right in time for everyone's New Year's resolution!
She has been enthusiastic about our class exercising! Our boys and girls are showing her just how much energy they have! Mrs. Barbara and I are just trying to keep up with them! ;)
This week, we are also studying Eskimos and we've been reading books about snow and winter. We are finding that exercise is a great way to stay warm on cold winter days. Ms. E is always one of the children's favorite letter people. We are excited she is here and we are enjoying a fun-filled week!
