Thank you to all my boys and girls for donating $1 today for Hats for Hope in honor of Abby Wilson. Abby, a TSA 8th grader, underwent surgery yesterday to remove cancerous tumors from her lungs. She is a very special, young lady and we are proud to show our support for her! Please keep Abby in your prayers.
This Friday, our school will be participating in Hats for Hope in honor of one of our own Tattnall 8th graders, Abby Wilson. Abby was diagnosed with a rare type of lung cancer. We are raising money for the Jay's Hope Foundation by paying $1 to wear hats to school this Friday! This is such a worthy cause and we hope everyone will be able to participate!
Also on Friday, the cheerleaders will be out in the morning carpool line to sell Cheek Cheers for $1. If your child would like to get one, we will help put them on in the classroom when they come in. These are a lot like a tattoo sticker. The children absolutely love wearing these and they are a great way to show our school spirit! If at all possible, we would love for all of our Pre-K students to get one of these to keep our hearts happy! :) Thanks so much!
Today in Celebration Chapel, Sawyer, Tristan, and Drew were recognized for having September birthdays. They got to go up on stage with all the other September birthday friends and the whole elementary school sang a special Happy Birthday song to them!
Ms. S has arrived! She is a Superhero with Super Socks that make her BRAVE! We are working on the letter Ss sound as we study spiders, snakes, and safety! Ms. S has taught us her song about her super socks but our favorite song this week is the S IS A CONSONANT song

Today we ended our Fire Safety Unit with a visit from the fire fighters from Station 103. The boys and girls heard all about fire safety and what to do in case of a fire. We enjoyed listening to the firemen, sitting inside the truck, and most of all, hearing the fire engines scream!!!!
Today is the first day of Fall! We celebrated by sorting our fall leaves by color and shape and sharing our favorite leaves. Then we headed outside to sing fall songs and watch our beautiful leaves fall to the ground!
This week Ms. F has come to visit and we have learned a song and dance about Ms. F's funny feet! Our theme for the week is Fire Safety. We have been learning lots of songs and reading books about firemen, fire trucks, and fire safety. One song we learned is about smoke detectors. I asked the children to go home and find out where the smoke detector is in their house. You may hear them talking about the school fire drill we had last week. It was an exciting event in the life our Pre-K when that alarm went off!!! We want them to learn what to do in case of a fire and for all the children to understand that firemen are our friends!
Here is a link to one of the songs we have learned this week Letter F song
It is a Fabulously Funky Fun Ff song!!!
Today we started our Letter of the Week Lessons with MR. M coming to visit our classroom. He flew in on a motorcycle straight from Letter People Land with a bag full of items that begin with the letter M. We learned his special song! Click the video link to hear it - Click here for MR. M's song.
All of our centers this week also begin with the Letter M: Market, Mail, Magnets, Measurement, Marbles, Markers, Main Street. Everything we play, sing, make, or eat will start with Mm! It is sure to be a Marvelous Week! :)
